Break Glass For a New Beginning (Adam & Eve)

Magnus Gjoen explores fragility, morality and beauty by reimagining biblical figures as contemporary icons. Placing sacred imagery on a skateboard- an object associated with youth rebellion- creates tension between faith and counterculture. Gjoen's juxtaposition of themes creates a quiet humour that comes from seeing something 'out of place.' Presented as a diptych, Adam and Eve highlight separation and vulnerability, inviting reflection on how religious symbols evolve within modern visual culture.
